How to Write a Thank You Note (6 years in the making)

Hey you,

Messaging you after a super long time.

My small resolution for this year was to learn how to write a thank you note and thank all the people in my life who helped me get to where I am today. A very good place.

There were’nt many people, so I had an easy time doing it.

But out of everyone I messaged, there was this one magical individual who turned my life upside down in just a single one on one conversation and perhaps that drove me the most into learning how to write a thank you note.

Smart, intellectual, sharp, popular, a way with people, a star, a success and beautiful.

I was a nobody at the time, just a sore loser with a portfolio of failed films and a redundant dream of becoming a big time movie director.

My day time job sucked with a measly salary and my career had no hope of taking the right turn.

But it all changed when I sat with her. She gave me the spark I needed to come up with a strategy to turn my life around and become a somebody.

She was a coder, so I thought becoming a coder myself would bring me success and a little closer to who she was.

But on the last day of my 6 months long, two different coding courses, from two different institutes happening at the same time, I figured out I don’t wanna be a coder. I’m an introvert storyteller and that’s who I’ll always be.

So I once again started to search for that strategy that would turn my life around because I needed to be a somebody if I wanted to talk to her again.

I found digital marketing was the field that would allow me to be a storyteller, be an introvert and get paid big altogether.

And that was it. After a hard long 2 year journey, I scored a job at a company where I found the best mentors of my life. Made very good money, became a leader, worked on brands like Mazda and now I’m very close to launching my own company soon.

All of this happened because of that one on one conversation with you.

I finally reached the point where I could message you.

You turned my life around.

You gave me what I needed.

These words sound like something out of a love story, but they’re not.

This how to write a thank you note is a story of admiration, how I think about you everyday, how you’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever met.

I follow your activities regularly on social media because it continuously gives me that drive to achieve more.

I’m absolutely thrilled with your ambitious nature.

You found your soul mate, fell in love, got married, settled down and you continue to achieve more like you still haven’t done anything.

I saw how you enrolled at a big name college to get a PGD and this decision of yours was yet again nothing short of who you are.

My only regret is that I didn’t ask you to be my friend because I still wonder everyday about what drives you to be where you are right now and where you are going to be?

What motivates you?

What makes you, you?

I wonder about these questions and I want you to know that there is someone in this world who thinks about you in a way no other person can, someone who admires you and holds you close to his heart more than anybody humanly possibly can.

I love you, not in a romantic way, but in a way that is hard to describe in words. This me at the end of the journey of learning how to write a thank you note and so here’s how I’m going to end this note, I don’t have the words to go on beyond this point except…
